Shifting Gears In Your Mind

Build on the foundation we were given…the Lord, and create with what you have…power, love and a sound, disciplined mind.

1 Corinthians 3:11 says, “for no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

The power to build, create and do is in you. But, when you are blinded by business not of God: a weighty heart full of messy love affairs, pride, vanity, problems at work, problems on the home-front, issues in the church, etc.…its hard to realize what’s before you: a beautiful you that God made for Himself…a warrior.

There isn’t one thing you can not overcome with the help of the Lord.

Matthew 19:26 says, “with men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”  But, your mind must be conditioned to believe it is so. If you set your heart upon the Lord…your mind will follow, because the strongest proclivity comes from seeds rooted in the heart, not sown upon or planted.  There is a difference between a seed planted versus a seed rooted. Just because a seed is planted doesn’t mean it takes root. This means the Gospel must sink down into the heart and be watered for God to give increase.

You are already given a measure of faith, but its up to you to exercise it and believe it in your heart. Don’t forfeit the foundation already laid…keep cultivating your heart, even if you slip and you’ll find that as you shift gears…you'll be able to do what was unthinkable.
